U-M was recently ranked No. 9 among institutions globally in cancer research, according to the U.S. News & World Report 2021 Best Global University Rankings.

The university was ranked No. 17 overall out of nearly 1,500 top institutions in 86 countries.

The rankings are based on factors such as global and regional research reputation, high-impact publications and international collaborations.
