Co-Chief Resident Corey Post Awarded the 2024 F. Stephen Vogel Award

Congratulations to our co-chief resident, Dr. Corey Post, for being selected by the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology as the recipient of the 2024 F. Stephen Vogel Award.  This award is given to a resident who has published an outstanding paper in one of the USCAP’s affiliated journals, Laboratory Investigation or Modern Pathology, and will be presented to him at the USCAP Honors Session on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Dr. David Keren Celebrates the Publication of 14th Book

In an age of new and emerging laboratory practices, Dr. David Keren has been at the forefront. With the release of his 14th book, he has advanced clinical laboratory pathology in his field. His new book “Electrophoresis and Mass Spectrometry” is an evidenced-based guide for detecting monoclonal immunoglobulin proteins (M-proteins) and other protein disorders. It provides clear recommendations for laboratory applications of state-of-the-art diagnostic methods.

Successful 15th Annual New Frontiers in Pathology Held at The Graduate

The weather was unseasonably warm as pathologists and trainees gathered at The Graduate Hotel in Ann Arbor, Michigan for the 15th Annual New Frontiers in Pathology Conference on October 26-28. For two and a half days, attendees heard 20 case presentations by a variety of Michigan Medicine Pathology specialists and participated in break-out sessions for deeper dives into selected subspecialties.

Dr. Allecia Wilson receives the Early Career Distinguished Alumni Award

Congratulations to Dr. Allecia Wilson for her recognition by the Michigan Medicine Alumni Society with the Early Career Distinguished Alumni Award, presented to her October 12, 2023. Dr. Wilson is an Associate Professor of Forensic and Pediatric Pathology, Director of Forensic Pathology, and Director of the Forensic Pathology Fellowship Program. She also serves as the Medical Examiner for Washtenaw County.
