REVISED REFERENCE RANGES
Effective September 8, 2022, the MLabs Clinical Core Laboratory will be updating the reference ranges for Anion Gap and Alkaline Phosphatase to reflect the values seen in a normal population post implementation of Atellica CH Analyzers.
Alkaline Phosphatase
Alkaline Phosphatase is a component of the Hepatic Function Panel (order code LIVER) and the Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (order code COMP) and is orderable as an individual test (order code ALK).
New Reference Range:
Male: 1 mo. - 1 year: 120 - 470 IU/L, 1 - 9 years: 140 - 335 IU/L, 10-12 years: 130 - 420 IU/L, 13 - 14 years: 115 -
420 IU/L, 15 - 16 years: 80 - 300 IU/L, 17 - 150 years: 40 - 116.
Female: 1 mo. - 1 year: 120 - 470 IU/L, 1 - 9 years: 140 - 335 IU/L, 10-12 years: 130 - 420 IU/L, 13 - 14 years: 52
