Mayo Clinic Laboratories Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor Antigen, Plasma testing will resume effective August 30, 2022. This test replaces Mayo test ID FPAI1 referred to Esoterix.
Collection Instructions: Collect specimen in light blue (sodium citrate) tube. Centrifuge for 10 minutes and carefully aliquot plasma into a plastic vial, being careful not to disturb cells. Re-centrifuge for 10 minutes and aliquot 1 mL (minimum 0.5 mL) of plasma into a plastic vial, leaving platelets at the bottom of the tube. Freeze.
