Collection Instructions

Royal blue (trace element) and/or Metal-Free aliquot tubes are available from MLabs (800-862-7284). Collect blood in a royal blue top (trace element) tube with EDTA (K2). Centrifuge and discard plasma (KEEP red blood cells). Leave RBCs in original royal blue top tube (replacing original stopper). RBC's alternatively may be aliquotted into a metal free screw capped aliquot prior to sending. Send to Specimen Processing refrigerated

Special Handling

Leave RBCs in original royal blue top tube (replacing original stopper). Plasma can be discarded
