Collect specimen in a red top tube; do not use SST tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum into a plastic vial within 4 hours of collection, and refrigerate. Urine, cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) and amniotic fluid specimens will be accepted for Zika PCR testing ONLY if they are accompanied by serum specimens.
