Specimen Requirements
Collection Instructions
Patient should abstain from alcohol for 24 hours prior to specimen collection. Collect specimen in a red top (preferred) or SST tube from a fasting patient (12-hour fast). Centrifuge within 2 hours of collection, aliquot serum into a plastic vial and refrigerate.
