Specimen Requirements
Collection Instructions

Collect specimen in lavender top tube from a fasting patient. Following collection place Vacutainer® tube on ice, then centrifuge, aliquot plasma into a plastic vial, and freeze.

Special Handling

Fasting specimen. Place on ice immediately.

Contraindications
This test should not be requested on patients who have recently received radioactive material.
