Collection
Collect specimen into an EDTA lav top tube. Spin and aliquot into a screw capped plastic tube. Freeze immediately.

Contraindications
This test should not be requested on patients who have recently received radioactive material.
Fasting Specimen
Patients should avoid taking antacids or any medication that affects intestinal motility for at least 48 hours prior to collection.
