    Collect specimen in an SST (preferred) or red top tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum into a plastic vial and refrigerate.

    The torch screen is not an orderable test through MLabs, since it is recommended that the physician order the individual test or tests required as determined by the patient's symptoms or diagnosis. If a request for a Torch screen is received, MLabs will order the following assays: Cytomegalovirus, IgG (CMVG), Cytomegalovirus, IgM (CMVM), Herpes simplex Types 1 & 2, IgG (HSVP), Rubella, IgG (RUBG), Toxoplasma, IgG (TOXG), and Toxoplasma, IgM (TOXM).
