Collect a trough specimen (draw immediately prior to next dose) in a lavender top tube. Mix collection tube gently by inversion to prevent clotting. Send intact specimen; do NOT centrifuge. Refrigerate.
Tacrolimus is used as a primary immunosuppressant and as secondary treatment for rejection following transplantation.
