6 Hours post approval for STAT result.

Specimen Requirements
Collection Instructions

Collect a random urine specimen and freeze within 2 hours of collection. If the minimum volume cannot be collected in one void, multiple collections are permissible; freeze within 2 hours of collection. Transport frozen; must be received frozen and within 48 hours of collection. Include the patient's family history, clinical condition (acute or asymptomatic), diet, and a list of current medications on the test requisition.

Rejection Criteria
Specimen not frozen if collected more than 2 hours prior.
Additional Information

Test may include medical geneticist interpretation of results at an additional charge. By ordering this test, the clinician acknowledges that a physician interpretation will be performed and billed as a separate additional charge if indicated.
