Collection Instructions

Collect specimen in a red top tube; do not use SST tube. Centrifuge immediately, aliquot serum into a plastic vial and freeze. For maximum clinical significance, usual sampling times are Peak: 15-30 minutes after the end of a 30 minute I.V. infusion, 45-60 minutes following I.M. administration or 90 minutes after oral intake or Trough: immediately before next dose is given. Indicate whether specimen is Peak, Trough, or Random level.

SST tube not acceptable.
