Test Overview
Test Methodology

ATAGO- refractive index

Test Usage

Performed at authorized locations by point of care operators. Used to evaluate the concentrating and excretory function of the kidneys.

Reference Range *

Reference ranges are available in the ATAGO Refractometer test procedure located on the POC website: https://www.pathology.med.umich.edu/point-of-care

* Reference ranges may change over time. Please refer to the original patient report when evaluating results.

Test Limitations

•ATAGO prism surface must be cleaned after every patient. Patient sample remaining on prism will become encrusted on the surface and will interfere with patient test results if not cleaned properly.
•If the ELI (External Light Interference) function indicates the [nnn] warning message when measuring a sample or during zero setting, shade the sample stage with your hand and repeat.
