Clinitek Status with Multistix 10 SG Reagent Strip- colorimetric

Test Usage

Performed at authorized locations by point of care operators. Includes: Glucose, Bilirubin, Ketones, Specific Gravity, Blood, pH, Protein, Urobilinogen, Nitrite, and Leukocyte Esterase. These qualitative and semi-quantitative measurements are useful in the evaluation of kidney function, urinary tract infections, carbohydrate metabolism (diabetes), and liver function.

Reference Range *

Reference ranges are available in the Clinitek Status + Urinalysis (Multistix 10 SG) test procedure located on the POC website: https://www.pathology.med.umich.edu/point-of-care.

* Reference ranges may change over time. Please refer to the original patient report when evaluating results.

Test Limitations

•Detergents and contaminants can interfere with patient results.
•Highly pigmented urines will interfere with the colorimetric reactions of the urinalysis strip and should be sent to the central lab for testing.
•Please see the Clinitek Status + Urinalysis (Multistix 10 SG) procedure on the POC website:https://www.pathology.med.umich.edu/point-of-care for analyte specific limitations.
