Test Usage

To quantify Natural Killer (NK) cells in support of diagnosing a proliferative and/or neoplastic disorder.

Diagnosis of a Natural Killer (NK) cell neoplasm and/ or proliferative disorder should only be made in clinical context including patient information and ancillary laboratory studies.

    Collection Instructions

    Collect blood or bone marrow in yellow top tube, send original specimen- do not aliquot. If possible also include 5-10 unstained blood/bone marrow smears labeled with 2 identifiers. Specimen must be received by Mayo within 4 days of collection. Send blood or bone marrow ambient, CSF or fluids- refrigerated to Specimen Processing.

    Do not aliquot blood or bone marrow, send in original tube
