Liver function test useful in the diagnosis of jaundice due to liver disease, hemolytic anemia, and ABO/Rh incompatibility.

Reference Range *

No reference range for < 1yr old. 0-1 month: Critical Value >=15 mg/dL.

Specimen Requirements
Collection Instructions

Collect specimen in an SST tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum into plastic vial and refrigerate. Protect specimen from light (place in brown plastic bag or aliquot into brown tube). NBILI (Neonatal Bilirubin, Fractions instead of Total Bilirubin(TBIL) is recommended for neonates <1 yr old.
