Specimen Requirements
Collection Instructions
Collect specimen: Throat, oropharyngeal or nasopharyngeal with a Dacron synthetic swab and place into 3mL of VTM or M4 media. Send to Specimen Processing refrigerated.
Special Handling
Send to MDHHS refrigerated. In case of delayed shipment, specimen may be frozen and sent
