    Collection Instructions

    A fasting specimen is recommended (8-12 hour fast). Collect specimen in a red top or SST tube. Centrifuge and aliquot serum into a screw capped plastic vial within 45 minutes of collection. Freeze (preferred) or send at room temperature or refrigerated within 48 hours.

    Alternate Specimen
    Lavender top (EDTA) is acceptable.

    Fasting specimen recommended.
