LD Isoenzymes: I (fast band): 17.5 - 28.3%; II: 30.4 - 36.4%; III: 19.2 - 24.8%; IV: 9.6 - 15.6%l V (slow band): 5.5 - 12.7%. Total LD level is also reported.

Specimen Requirements
Collection Instructions

Collect specimen in a red top or SST tube. Centrifuge and aliquot serum into a plastic vial within 2 hours of collection. Store and transport at room temperature. Specimen cannot be refrigerated >48 hours or frozen.

Normal Volume
2 mL serum, divided into 2 aliquots of 1 ml each
Minimum Volume
0.75 mL serum divided into 2 aliquots of 0.3 each
Storage Temperature
Ambient preferred, refrigerated <48hrs only
