    Collection Instructions

    Collect sufficient number of tubes to meet volume requirements, for both serum AND plasma. Spin, aliquot (and LABEL the aliquots as serum vs plasma) and send to Specimen processing in screw capped tubes. Refrigerated

    Special Handling

    Aliquots MUST be labeled as Serum vs Plasma
    Send it UPS directly to Quest Chantilly, do not send via Quest Valencia courier.

    Normal Volume

    6 ml serum plus 5 mL plasma plus 2 mL random urine in Aptima

    Minimum Volume

    4 mL serum plus 4 mL plasma plus 2 mL urine in Aptima tube

    Storage Temperature
    Refrigerated 5 days, Frozen if shipment will be delayed longer than that
