Specimen Requirements

Collection Offsite

Collect specimens in a red top (SST is acceptable) AND lavender top tube. Centrifuge red top tube, aliquot serum into a plastic vial and refrigerate. Refrigerate intact lavender top tube.

Normal Volume
2 mL serum AND 2 mL EDTA whole blood
Minimum Volume
2 mL serum AND 1 mL EDTA whole blood
