Transforming growth factor beta is found in hematopoietic (blood-forming) tissue and initiates a signaling pathway that suppresses the early development of cancer cells.

Test Details
Specimen Requirements
Collect specimen in an EDTA lav top tube. Spin for 15 mins within 30 minutes of collection. Poor plasma off into an aliquot tube, and spin it for 10 minutes. Pour the plasma into another aliquot tube, and freeze immediately.
Pour plasma, do not aliquot
