Test Overview
Sanger Sequencing
The test is designed to detect and characterize Acyclovir drug resistance associated with specific mutations found in the Thymidine Kinase (UL23) gene of both HSV Type 1 and HSV Type 2. These mutations can lead to reduced or absent response to Acyclovir, a commonly used antiviral treatment.
No evidence of resistance
* Reference ranges may change over time. Please refer to the original patient report when evaluating results.
