Test Usage

This test is used to store living donor samples at the time of transplantation as a UNOS requirement. Ordering this test will ensure that donor serum (SST) and donor blood (EDTA) will be stored for ten years within the HLA lab.

    Collect specimen in sufficient lavender (EDTA) tube and one red top or serum separator (SST) tubes. Send specimen at room temperature. Do not refrigerate or freeze.
