Specimen Requirements
Collection Instructions

Collect blood specimen in SST tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum into a plastic vial and refrigerate.

Alternate Specimen

Red top or green top (sodium or lithium heparin) tube. Please note that green top (sodium heparin) should not be used for any testing or panels that contain sodium tests.

Normal Volume

1 mL serum

Minimum Volume

0.5 mL serum

Additional Information

Includes: Albumin, Bilirubin (Total and Direct), AST, ALT, Alkaline Phosphatase, Total Protein. Each of these tests may also be ordered individually.
