Confirms the identity of the original patient or donor sample. Used for determining the degree of compatibility or genetic relationship between individuals, such as potential donors and recipients for Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation.

Specimen Requirements
Collection

Collect specimen in sufficient yellow top (ACD) solution A, EDTA, or buccal swabs. Send intact specimens at room temperature. Do not refrigerate or freeze.

Normal Volume
10 mL ACD (solution A), EDTA or heparin whole blood, 4 buccal swabs. Patients with extremely low white counts may require additional specimen.
Minimum Volume
5 mL ACD (solution A), EDTA or heparin whole blood,or 2 buccal swabs. Patients with extremely low white counts may require additional specimen.
