    Collection Instructions

    Collect specimen in an EDTA lav top tube. Immediately spin, and aliquot into a screw capped plastic tube. Do not expose to heat or direct sunlight. Send to Specimen Processing refrigerated

    Contraindications
    This test is not recommended for infants younger than 3 months of age due to the high levels of growth differentiation factor 15 contributed from the placenta during pregnancy.
