Direct Radioimmunoassay (RIA)

Reference Range *

Adults-Males: 4.0-8.0 pg.mL; Females 2.0-10.0 pg/mL

Test Limitations

Patient should not be on any Steroid, ACTH, Gonadotropin, or Estrogen medications, if possible, for at least 48 hours prior to collection.

    Collect specimen in Red top or SST tube. Spin and aliquot serum IMMEDIATELY into a screw capped plastic tube. Send to Specimen Processing frozen. EDTA lav top tube is acceptable
