Specimen Requirements
Place CSF or other body fluid in sterile tube or container. Refrigerate. The following specimen types are acceptable: body fluid, ocular (eye) fluid, spinal fluid (CSF), bronchial washing, bronchoalveolar lavage, nasopharyngeal aspirate or washing, sputum, tracheal aspirate, amniotic fluid, tissue, or bone marrow in lavender top (EDTA) tube.
