Specimen Requirements
Collection Instructions

Collect random urine specimen and refrigerate up to 24 hours. Specimen may be stored at room temperature if received within 2 hours of collection.

Alternate Specimen
Gray top tubes and Vacutainer® tubes with a red and yellow swirled cap.
Normal Volume
15 mL urine
Minimum Volume
6 mL urine
Rejection Criteria
Specimen refrigerated more than 24 hours from time of collection or left at room temperature more than 2 hours from time of collection.
