Test Usage

Useful in cases of amebiasis where ova and parasite examinations are inconclusive. This assay will detect only the antigen of the pathogenic E. histolytica; it will not detect the non-pathogenic E. dispar.

    Specimens that have been collected or stored in 10% formalin, SAF, PVA or equivalent fixatives; Cary-Blair; rectal swabs; diaper specimens; liver abscess (pasted).
