Test Details
2 - 9 days
- CK Isoenzymes
- CKELR
Specimen Requirements
Collect specimen in a red top tube or SST tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum into two plastic vials and refrigerate up to 72 hours or freeze for longer storage. Specimen must be aliquoted within 2 hours of collection
Additional Information
Testing begins with total creatine kinase analysis (CK). If the total CK activity is <100 U/L testing is complete. CK isoenzyme electrophoresis testing will not be performed. If the total CK activity is > or =100 U/L, CK isoenzyme electrophoresis (CKEL) will be performed at an additional charge.. Test sent to Mayo Medical Laboratories.
