    Collect aspirate in EDTA tube. By physician placing the order in MiChart for CLOID, a request for the block will print in the admin area of Anatomic Pathology. They will pull the block and request slides or scrolls be cut, and then send them to sendouts for shipment to Adaptive. Adaptive cannot process an entire paraffin block specimen- it must be cut and slides or scrolls made.

    Bone marrow aspirate slides/ or touch preparation slides or FFPE scrolls/slides
    Normal Volume
    > 1 mL aspirate AND 3-5 bone marrow aspirate slides OR Bone marrow clot FFPE block: Scrolls cut 5 micron thick (5-10) or 3-5 slides cut 8 microns thick, unstained
    Minimum Volume
    1 mL aspirate AND 3-5 bone marrow aspirate slides OR Bone marrow clot FFPE block: Scrolls cut 5 micron thick (5-10) or 3-5 slides cut 8 microns thick, unstained
    Storage Temperature
    Ambient if shipping the same day as collection. The specimen is stable for 5 days- if storing overnight, then refrigerate
    Rejection Criteria
    Entire FFPE blocks, Decalcified Material or Core Recuts
