Systemic candidiasis is often characterized by markedly elevated levels of Candida-specific antibodies.

IgA: <1.0; IgG: <1.0; IgM: <1.0.

Test Limitations

Interpretation of Candida antibody results is complicated by detection of these antibodies in healthy individuals, and blunted antibody responses in immunocompromised patients. Fungus Culture is recommended as a more sensitive and specific test for Candidiasis.
