Collection Instructions

Draw immediately before the next dose. Collect blood in a red top tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum into a plastic vial and refrigerate within 2 hours of collection.

Additional Information

Butabarbital (Butisol) is an intermediate-acting barbiturate with sedative-hypnotic activity. Toxic mainifestations can include respiratory depression, acidosis and hypoxia, hypothermia, hypotension, cardiac depression, shock, and coma.
