Collection Instructions

Collect specimen in red top or SST tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum into a plastic vial and refrigerate.

Additional Information

This test will be automatically run on any specimen that gives a positive or borderline result for the Borrelia burgdorferi ELISA (EIA) test. If Lyme Disease confirmatory testing is requested and EIA Antibody results are not included, the ELISA (EIA) test will be performed at an additional charge. Test sent to Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS); although there is no charge for testing, MLabs charges a handling fee for processing and forwarding specimens to MDHHS.
