Specimen Requirements

Collection Instructions

Instruct patient to void and discard first morning specimen, then drink at least 0.5 L of water. Within 1 hour of drinking water, collect random urine specimen. Add 1 M NaOH as a preservative to achieve pH of approximately 6-8. Freeze.
