Test Usage

Aiding the diagnosis of arboviral encephalitis (California [LaCrosse], St. Louis, Eastern equine and Western equine encephalitis).

IgG: <1:10; IgM <1:10

Specimen Requirements

Collection Offsite

Collect specimen in a sterile container. It is preferred not the send the screw capped tubes in the LP collection kit, as they have a tendency to leak. It can also be transferred in Specimen Processing if no other tubes are available. Send to Specimen Processing refrigerated.
