    Specimen is organism in pure culture, submitted in Middlebrook 7H10 media. Acceptable is Sabouraud's dextrose slany or similar media without antimicrobials. Must be sent to Mayo in Infectious Container.

    Special Handling

    Place specimen in a large infectious container and label as an etiologic agent/infectious substance.

    Ambient is preferred, refrigerated acceptable
