Results are reported as the minimum inhibitory concentration in micrograms/mL.
* Reference ranges may change over time. Please refer to the original patient report when evaluating results.
Specimen Requirements
Test performed on isolated organism in pure culture. Send mycobacterium on Middlebrook 7-H10 agar slant; agar plates are not acceptable. Place sealed agar slant inside clear, liquid tight SAF-T-PAK bag and seal tape liner. Place sealed bag and requisition inside white biohazard SAF-T-PAK envelope and seal. Transport at room temperature. Include antimicrobial(s), culture site, and suspected organism identification on requisition.
