Test Usage

Approximately 40% of patients with chronic urticaria have antibodies to the high affinity IgE receptor (FceR1). Sera from patients with chronic urticaria significantly upregulate basophil CD203c expression as measured by flow cytometry.

Collection Instructions

Collect specimen in a red top or SST tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum into a plastic vial within 1 hour of collection and refrigerate up to 7 days or freeze for longer storage.
