Specimen Requirements

Collection Offsite

Physician will provide collection kit to parents and advise them to get their blood drawn. Phlebotomy will draw mom's blood and label with the Soft order labels. Dad's blood needs to be plain labeled with name, DOB and MRN if he has one.
A MiChart req with the order will also print in the Anatomic Pathology admin area, which will cause them to obtain the block from storage and send it to Sendouts. Sendouts will match the blood in the kit, with the block and ship all specimen together to Natera.
