Reference Range *
Therapeutic: 120-250 ng/mL; Toxic: > 500 ng/mL (sum of Amitriptyline and Nortriptyline).
Test Limitations
Phenothiazines and other tricyclic antidepressants and their metabolites may interfere when administered concomitantly.

Collect blood in a red top or green top tube; do not use SST or PST tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum or plasma into plastic vial as soon as possible and refrigerate.
