Test Usage

Walnut allergen component tests are utilized for a more detailed assessment of patients with a suspected walnut allergy. Sensitization to a certain walnut components is strongly associated with risk of a systemic walnut reaction.

Offsite Collection Instructions

Collect specimen in an SST or red top tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum into a plastic vial and refrigerate for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
