Effective June 5, 2026, Michigan Medicine Laboratories Clinical Core Lab (CCL) will be batch testing LPAM due to a reagent backorder and limited reagent allocation from the vendor until further notice.
Testing will be performed once reagent allocations are received from the vendor. Specimens should continue to be submitted as usual; however, samples will be frozen and held until testing can be completed.
Collection instructions: Collect specimen in SST tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum into a plastic vial and refrigerate. 5 days at 15-25 C 20 days at 2-8 C 13 weeks at -20 C (+/- 5 C) 1 year at -70 C (+/- 5 C) Only freeze once.
