Effective May 19, 2026, Mayo Clinic Laboratories test, TGMS, will be down due to concerns around acceptable turnaround times. Pending samples received at Mayo Clinic Laboratories will be performed by Mayo Clinic Laboratories with extended turnaround times. The test down is anticipated to last indefinitely. Specimens that are currently in-house will be processed and results returned to clients.
The recommended alternative test is Thyroglobulin, LC/MS/MS (Test ID: FQTHY).
Collection Instructions: Collect specimen in a red top tube. Centrifuge and aliquot 1 mL serum into a plastic vial. Send specimen refrigerated.
