Effective April 9, 2026, Mayo Clinic Laboratories test, Insulin-Like Growth Factor Panel, will be obsolete due to a methodology change. The recommended alternative for this test is Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1 and Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 3 Growth Panel, Serum, Test ID IGFPN.
Collection Instructions: For 12 hours before specimen collection, patient should not take multivitamins or dietary supplements (eg, hair, skin, and nail supplements) containing biotin (vitamin B7). Collect 2 red top tubes. Centrifuge and aliquot serum into 2 plastic vials, each containing 0.8 mL of serum. CPT codes will remain the same.
