Effective, February 4, 2026, Michigan Medicine Laboratories Biochemical Genetics Lab resumed testing for Acylcarnitine, previously a send out to Mayo Clinic Laboratories (MAYO ACRN). Testing resumed in-house and will be performed twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Collection Instructions: Collect 0.1 mL Plasma in a Heparin Plasma Dark Green top tube. Centrifuge within 2 hours of collection and aliquot plasma and freeze (preferred) or store at refrigerated temperature (2-8°C) for up to 7 days.
