Due to a regent discontinuation, Mayo Clinic Laboratories will be moving the Soluble Transferrin Receptor test to a chemiluminescent immunoassay method. The recommended alternative test is sTfR (Soluble Transferrin Receptor), Serum. Test ID STFR1.
Collection Requirements: Collect specimen in an SST tube and centrifuge within 2 hours of collection. If a red top tube is collected, aliquot serum into a plastic vial prior to sending.
