Effective June 4, 2024, the following updates will be made to Mayo Clinic Laboratories Pediatric Autoimmune Encephalopathy/CNS Disorder Evaluation, Serum, panel:

 

Additions:

• Test component AMPA-Receptor Antibody, Cell Binding Assay, Serum (test ID AMPCS) (CPT 86255)
• Test component Dipeptidyl-Peptidase-Like Protein-6 (DPPX) Antibody, Cell Binding Assay, Serum (test ID DPPCS) (CPT 86255) will be added to the panel.
• Reflex test AMPA-Receptor Antibody Titer Assay, Immunofluorescence, Serum (test ID AMPIS) (CPT 86256) will be performed automatically at an additional charge if indicated.

 

Deletions:

• Test component Dipeptidyl-Peptidase-Like Protein-6 (DPPX) Antibody, Immunofluorescence, Serum (test ID DPPIS) (CPT 86255) will be removed from the panel.

 

Note that DPPCS will become an always performed panel component instead of a potential reflex test.
